Will I ever get caught up? Just when I think that I'm almost there, I add more to my list of things "to do." I did leave school at a decent time today, which was a MAJOR accomplishment. I took advantage of that extra time and came home and took a nap! Then I ate 4 birthday cake oreos and started supper. I had good intentions of coming home and walking on the treadmill, just couldn't bring myself to do it. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe.
We started a little word work with short a last week. With it being a short week and trying to tackle all the AIMS web testing we are expected to complete, I didn't get to cover this skill like I wanted too. Thankfully we have time to really get down and dirty with it this week. This weekend I got to thinking about what I wanted to accomplish with this sound. I wanted my kiddos to really interact with this sound and hopefully start making those connections with cvc words. So, I sat down and created this little mini unit.
It has the following activities:
Make a Match!
Write the Room
I have, Who has?
See it, Say it!
4 in a Row
It also has a vowel song, a Change it UP! reproducible activity, and short a word wall words.
I'm excited about using this mini unit with my kiddos this week.
I would love to share this mini unit with you! All you have to do is leave a comment below telling me how you tackle your "to do list." I will randomly pick 2 winners Wednesday, HUMP Day!
I look forward to reading your responses. Maybe I will pick up some helpful hints that will help me get all caught up!!!!!
