Font and Froggy Freebie!

I love reading  Froggy books to my class!  They are so fun and I love how I can engage my students while reading them out loud.  Tomorrow I am planning on reading Froggy's First Kiss

I wanted to do something fun, so I sat down with the book and thought......Hmmmm.  In the book, Froggy makes a special heart and throughout it we kinda get the impression that he is planning on giving it to Frogilina.  But in the end, he gives it to his mom!  Yay mom!  So I thought it would be fun for my class to create their own hearts and then write about who they would give it to and why.  I didn't have a whole lot of prep time for this activity, so it's going to be totally up to each individual child how they create their hearts (I do plan to show them how to fold the paper and then cut.  Kinda scary, but it's worth the try!).  I think it shows the personality of the student when they are left to their own creative vices anyway.  After the heart has been cut, they will then tear different pieces of colored paper to glue on the heart.  If you would like the writing prompt to go along with the activity, you can click on the picture below.  I have my camera battery charging and I hope to have some good pics to share with you later on this week.

I also have another freebie to share with you  tonight, a new font.  You can click on the picture to download it.  No terms, just give me a shout out if you use it in one of your products.
